Have fun and help greet up to 2,000 Olathe Marathon runners this weekend, Saturday, April 10!
Calling all volunteers!
The Olathe Marathon, sponsored by the Chamber and Garmin International, begins at 1200 E. 151st St., at 7 a.m.
If you would like to volunteer for a three-hour shift (5 to 8 a.m., 8 to 11 a.m., or 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) for one of the following positions, please contact Mary Durham, Olathe Chamber CVB, at email@example.com or (913) 764-1050:
Course monitors -- Located along the marathon route, you'll advise runners of curves ahead, intersections, potential traffic, etc.
Water station attendants -- Also positioned along the route, you'll pour water into cups, hand them to thirsty runners and cheer them on their way!
Parking attendants -- Advise drivers about designated parking areas.
Food & Beverage assistants -- set up for serving areas, serve food and drinks, and undertake miscellaneous tasks.
When you call to volunteer or e-mail us, please be ready to give us your name, cell phone number, and e-mail and specify which tasks and time frames you are would like.
